Hi Darren! Great stuff! I have a question though. If we are placing the LUT node at the very end, after the CST, and it requires to convert it to cineon, doesn't that mean that we are viewing the timeline and exporting in cineon instead of Rec. 709? I am confused :S

I clean my 4k image then transfer in to Log C prores full hd then doing grading. So basically this allows flexibility because I working with flat log image because my phone dont have log. I soon planing reelese video about my own method of color grading

Sorry to bother you with this, but do you have any suggestions for fixing slight stutter in final, rendered 4K video? DaVinci Resolve 18.6. Computer: Lenovo Legion (CPU AMD Ryzen, NVIDIA 3060, 32 GB memory, 2 TB SSD, 4K Res). Media Source (DJI Pocket 3, some screen captures, FinePix JPEGs), Project Settings (Timeline res 3840x2160 ultra HD, 24 fps, Opt. Media/Render Cache 1/4 DNxHR HQX), Render settings: MP4, H.265, Auto encoder, 3840x2160, fps 24, Quality Auto-Best, Key frames Auto. When I render the final video, it has slight shutter/stutter the entire video. Anyway to fix this?

Amazing! I'm a total newbie and was trying to get my GoPro footage corrected clip by clip and using the color wheels and Waveframes. It was tedious to say the least. With your method I can select the "worst" exposure clips and correct them all in minute. Only downside is the huge watermark in the FREE version. That's a bummer.

Also where did the audio trim button go on the cut page? I dont see it on 18.6.

Hi! Great video but I do have a question. We use either color managed workflows or CSTs to take the original color space, transform it into something a bit larger for working and then transform it again (to 709) to export it. If we place a CST node after the 709 one to transform it to Cineon, won't we be exporting in Cineon instead of 709? New to the color grading game, sorry if it to basci of a question.

Good input. But what I still don't understand is why you would convert the camera color space to DWG and in the end to 709. Why can't I go directly from the camera color space to 709 and grade thereafter? I know that 709 is a small color space, but DaVinci internally works with 32-bit float, so it's practically using an almost unlimited space. What I clip in one node, I can bring back in the next one, no problem. I'd really love to understand.

If my monitor is sRGB, would I use the display transform node at the end to be sRGB instead of rec709? Would it be sRGB gamma 2.2?

Hi, thanks for a great video. One question: What is the benefit of grading in Davinci Wide Gamut as opposed to staying in Arri Log-C before converting to rec 709 for viewing? I'm going to watch your video on CST too but I'd rather ask before forgetting. Thanks!

How do I set up the input on the first node if DaVinci doesn't have the input gamma for D-Log M? - Input color space: ? - Input gamma: ? - Output color space: DaVinci wide gamut - Output gamma: DaVinci intermediate DWG>709 - Input color space: DaVinci wide gamut - Input gamma: DaVinci intermediate - Output color space: Rec.709 - Output gamma: Gamma 2.4 Should I just apply the Dji D-Log M to Rec.709 lut and add Rec.709 to both input color space and gamma?

@whatyouwill 0 seconds ago I'm brand new to editing with no formal training. Davinci is a far cry from something simple like Movie Maker, but I'm learning. Your video helped me to quickly correct color issues in four parts of my film. Now, being a total noob, I know I have a long way to go with using Davinci; but I'm thankful for your content.
